Top Ten for Worst Traffic ~ Lowest Ten for D.U.I’s

Washington ranks among the 10 states with the fewest fatalities due to drunken or drugged driving.

That low rate of deaths follows a years-long drive by the Legislature, the Washington State Patrol and local police agencies to crack down on drunk and drugged driving.

The state with the lowest rate of impaired driving deaths is New York, with a rate of 1.65 fatalities per 100,000 population.
