The five minute rule has been a game changer for my parenting.
The premise is that my (thefamilybehaviorist) kids can ask for 5 minutes at any time for anything and it guarantees a calm discussion.
This doesn’t mean there won’t be a consequence!
I used this often as a child any my kids are already utilizing it.
