Sue Bird Re-Signs with the Seattle Storm…AWESOME!

2-Time WNBA Champion, 2002 First-Overall Draft Pick Inks Multi-Year Deal

SEATTLE – The most decorated player in women’s professional basketball, Sue Bird, has re-signed with the Seattle Storm, the franchise announced today.

“Sue’s commitment to this team and to the city of Seattle is unprecedented,” said President & GM Alisha Valavanis. “It’s special for a professional athlete to leave a legacy with one franchise. We’re grateful she will continue to lead the Storm.

“Seattle is my home,” said Bird. “I am thrilled to be re-signing with the Storm. This franchise and city have been incredibly supportive throughout my career and I am looking forward to getting back to work with my teammates.”
