Merriam Webster Is Adding FOMO, Hella AND TMI To The Dictionary.

Merriam-Webster just announced a bunch of new words they’re adding to the dictionary this year.  The editors make their choices based on a word’s impact on the English language, and whether they believe it’s here to stay.

Here are some of the new additions:

1.  FOMO.  It’s the acronym for ‘Fear Of Missing Out.’  Here’s their definition.  “Fear of not being included in something, such as an interesting or enjoyable activity, that others are experiencing.”

2.  Meet-cute.  “A cute, charming, or amusing first encounter between romantic partners, as in a movie.”

3.  Hella.  “very, extremely.”

4.  TMI.  “Too much information.”

A few others that are also being added are Bitcoin, cold turkey, gastric banding, and wacky tobacco.

"I love everything this place has to offer, from world class entertainment, to the incredible food to all of its natural beauty with so many amazing mountains and trails at our doorstep!" I LOVE the Pacific Northwest and am proud to call it home and do what I love to do with an incredible group of people.
