Downtown Seattle is the Heart of the Holidays

Nov. 29-Jan. 1
Westlake Park & Occidental Square, Seattle

The Downtown Seattle Association invites you to celebrate the holidays in the heart of the city.

Come ride the iconic Holiday Carousel in Westlake Park. Since 1987, the holiday carousel has featured 17 colorful horses, a double chariot, a zebra and (with a few energy-efficient upgrades) hundreds of twinkling LED lights. Each horse weighs more than 90 pounds and the carousel averages more than 30,000 riders per year. Additionally, every ticket sold supports DSA’s year-round efforts managing Westlake Park and Occidental Square. They bring activities and events to the parks year-round as part of a 5-year agreement with the City of Seattle.

Also in Westlake Park, purchase hand-crafted goods at the weekend pop-up Holiday Craft Market curated by Urban Craft Uprising, featuring rotating vendors every week. A special holiday food truck will be at Westlake Park every day serving sweet and savory treats.

On the other end of downtown at Pioneer Square, Occidental Square is home to a brand new sparkly tree and DIY holiday themed activities including stockings (Wednesday, December 4th), mistletoes (Wednesday, December 11th) and scarves (Wednesday, December 18th).
