Special Olympics Washington 2021 CommUNITY Challenge
May 22 - July 3
Go the extra mile for Special Olympics Washington! Join Special Olympics athletes, friends, family, and the greater community as we run, walk, roll and move across Washington.
The CommUNITY Challenge is a six-week virtual journey across the state during which participants can connect and compete in distance traveled and funds raised. Individuals and teams will walk, run, roll and move together with the goal of achieving 180,000 miles and raising $250,000 by the end of the challenge!
Why 180,000 miles? In Washington, there are approximately 180,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities and every mile we cross together helps create a more inclusive community. Funds raised through the CommUNITY Challenge will continue Special Olympics Washington’s commitment to positively impacting the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through innovative ways to keep our athletes active, engaged and healthy.
