Allison Schwartz is the External Outreach Director for the Seattle Dept of Transportation and the force behind a new event: Seattle’s Safest Driver. This is a free app at Seattle.gov/safest driver or at an app store. It’s a competition for residents of King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Kitsap Counties, and tracks your trips and you can check out your scores at the end of a trip, follow the tips to improve, and see where you rank amongst other competitors.
Prizes are involved–the best being considered a better, safer driver! The competition runs November 20, 2017 – January 14, 2018.
This is key to helping Seattle reach its “Vision Zero” goal of ending traffic deaths and serious injuries on city streets by the year 2030.
