Police responded to a shooting last night in Tukwila that left one person dead and another with serious injuries. The suspect apparently walked up to a car with both victims inside and opened fire before fleeing. The suspect was on foot and is still at large. It’s believed the victims and the suspect knew each other.
20,000 Louisiana residents had to be rescued over the weekend as flooding across the southern part of the state led to the declaration of a major disaster by the federal government.
Thousands of people were forced to evacuate in Northern California after a wildfire grew to almost 5 miles north of San Francisco. It’s one of 11 wildfires burning in the state.
The Farmers Almanac has released it’s predictions for Winter 2017 and good news; they’re saying it should be extra awful and they claim to have an 80% accuracy. The Northeast and Midwest can expect “colder than normal” temperatures with precipitation “above normal.” Here in the lovely Pacific Northwest, we can expect a lot of rain and chilly weather. After an investigation, cops determined there was no shooting—with one official saying “clapping and banging” by people watching the Olympics may have been misinterpreted as gunfire. The shots fired call came into 911 one minute after Usain Bolt won the 100 Meter in Rio.
