A lock of David Bowie’s hair just sold for $18,750 at an auction in Los Angeles over the weekend. The blonde strands were cut straight from Bowie’s head in 1983 when he went in for a Madam Tussauds Wax Museum sample sitting. There it sat for 33 years until Heritage Auctions sold it off. According to the listing, a portion of the proceeds will go to a Thai dog and cat welfare center.

I have nothing but LOVE FOR YOU AND ALL OF US,”

He is in much better shape.”
