Ashley’s Morning Scoop 5.5.16

Janet Jackson is hitting two milestones this year, as she is pregnant with her first child and will celebrate her 50th birthday in a couple weeks.  Jackson postponed her tour last month, saying her and her husband were planning their family.

Troubled former Browns quarterback, Johnny Manziel surrendered himself to police in Texas where he was booked on misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a domestic violence incident with his former girlfriend.  He was released shortly after posing for a mugshot.  Once he was released he took to Twitter to comment on his most recent mugshot, saying “Just thankful I had a shirt this time.”  He quickly deleted the tweet, but just proved that he has a long way to go.

It was another awesome edition of Carpool Karaoke last night when Gwen Stefani joined James Cordon on the ride to work.  Of course, the two sang some of her classics…. And Gwen helped James sort out some confusion on her lyrics.

The episode got even better when Gwen & James picked up George and Julia, as in Clooney and Roberts and the foursome belted out Hollaback girl.  Here is a link to the video!

Michael’s last day on Live with Kelly & Michael is only about a week away and everyone wants to know who is going to replace him.  The show has announced Kelly’s co-hosts for the first week; Empire’s Jussie Smollett, Cedric the Entertainer, ABC World News Tonight anchor, David Muir and Daniel Dae Kim.

Magic Mike is coming to life ladies! The film’s star, Channing Tatum announced online yesterday that the show will take over the Hard Rock Hotel starting in March 2017 and in the meantime, they will be gathering feedback from potential audience members about what they’d want to see at the show…..sorry ladies, Channing Tatum isn’t an option.
