The Billboard Music Awards were in Las Vegas last night and the stars lived up to the bright lights and big stage.
Ciara and Ludacris hosted the night’s events and it only took about 3 minutes for Russell Wilson to be brought up!
Britney Spears, Las Vegas’ resident diva opened things up with an overly lip synched performance, but it almost didn’t matter…..she did a mini version of her hit Vegas show and looked ahhhhmazing! She also took home the Millenium Award, only the 3rd person to get that honor.
Another Vegas resident, Celine Dion brought the house down with an emotional performance in the wake of her husband’s death. Then, she followed that up by accepting the Icon Award, which was presented to her by her son and thanked her late husband………
Adele couldn’t make the show because of her tour and all, but she did debut her new music video for Send My Love and took home the Awards for Top Artist, Top Artist and Top Album!
Justin Bieber won the award for Top Male Artist and …well, he doesn’t really like to talk….
Madonna took the stage to honor Prince in a tribute and brought out a surprise guest, Stevie Wonder….. …. It didn’t sound very good….
Unlike Rihanna’s amazing performance of Love on the Brain….. Wow…..
In non-Billboard news, Eva Longoria weds Jose Baston in Mexico over the weekend. Eva looked stunning as the happy couple wed in Valle de Bravo, about 100 miles outside of Mexico City, in front the Beckhams, Mario Lopez, Ricky Martin and Melanie Griffith
David Hasselhoff has asked a judge to lower his $21,000 per month spousal-support payment to ex-wife Pamela Bach, because, he says, he only has $4,000 in the bank and is constantly looking for work. Of course, the truth behind that, might be a bit in question- Hoff reports earnings of over $1.3 million per year, with about $300,000 left over after expenses…..
The Bachelorette premieres tonight!! 26 guys will be competing for the chance to propose to Jojo at the end of their journey for love…. Well, 26 that we know of. There’s always one guy from past seasons who surprises everyone and finds a way onto the show. I am throwing it out there, my early winner pick is Jordan Rodgers, brother to Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
