Ashley’s Morning Scoop 11.8.16

Congrats to our own Seahawk, Kam Chancellor and his new fiancée! Apparently it was a night of celebration as Kam posted to Instagram last night just before midnight; a photo of a plate with the words “She Said Yes” and an emoji of a diamond ring.  The soon to be Mrs. Chancellor, Tiffany also posted a photo of her new bling along with a big smile on the happy couple’s faces!

Prince Harry has confirmed he is dating Suits actress Meghan Markle in a statement to media outlets around the world from his communications secretary.  The move is unusual for a member of the Royal family, but Harry felt it was necessary in the wake of the negative attention Markle has been receiving since their relationship became public. An excerpt from the statement says “…..the past week has seen a line crossed. His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment.  Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm. He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game.’ He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his.”  See the FULL STATEMENT HERE!

The Weeknd recently cut off his signature dread locks without any warning and now that we have all recovered from the shock, he addressed why he made the drastic change, saying it needed to happen because he could only sleep comfortably on one side of his face.  He went on to say “Now, the sleep is amazing.  The shower is amazing, because I don’t have to spend two hours cleaning it. I didn’t know how much I wanted it until I did it.” Insert “I can’t feel my face when I’m with you” joke here…..
