This Saturday, I'm going to do one of my favorite things...I'm going whale watching! I think we are really blessed to live in an area where Orcas roam free and that they call home. If you've read anything I've written, you know that I LOVE Orcas and all whales. The Orcas are special to me though. I think they are simply amazing.
First, the Orca whale is one of nature's most beautiful animals. The black and white colors are so distinctive. When you see an Orca, there's no doubt of what it is. They are also the ocean's top predator, even Great White Sharks fear the Orca, and they have been known to be enemies in the oceans.

Pretty soon, some of the Orcas will leave for the winter to look for food. So if you want to see them this year, you'd better hurry.
