It was truly wonderful to have so much sunshine over this past weekend. We went to Mukilteo, where I used to live, and hung out by the water for a couple of hours. There's something about Mukilteo that I really love. For one, it's always a little windy there because it's on the water, and I LOVE the wind.
It's also a great place to hang out and watch the ferries come and go. Do you enjoy watching the ferries? For some reason, I really love to do this. I can't afford to actually RIDE the ferry anymore, so I might as well watch them...LOL. There's something calming about watching the ferries come in. First the walkers come scurrying off along with the bikes. Then the motorcycles come off, and finally the cars. Then they do the whole thing again and take off for Whidbey Island. One thing that we used to do a few times every summer was to walk on to the Seattle to Bremerton ferry run. It takes a full hour each way, so you get a lot of bang for your ferry riding buck. I enjoy standing right at the front of the boat on a nice warm and sunny day, letting that sea breeze hit me right in the face. It's heaven....I LOVE doing that. I can't wait for it to warm up even more to make that possible.
Sometimes I think we take the beauty around here for granted. There are so many nice places to go and just HANG OUT. Don't you agree?
