Snoozer?

You know the feeling. It's 6am. Your alarm goes off...and what do you do? You automatically hit the snooze button for a few minutes of what you think is going to be extra sleep. Not so fast though...a new study out suggests that that "snooze sleep" you think you're getting isn't doing you much good. According to experts, you need 25 minutes to fall into a deep restful sleep. Hitting the snooze usually gets you 5-15 more minutes of sack time, not enough to get you into REM territory.

The bottom line is this. Even though hitting snooze won't get you any additional quality sleep, most people who use the feature will continue to do it. Maybe it's the illusion of getting more sleep or just being a little lazy for a few minutes every morning. So SNOOZE ON!
