I recently found out that someone that I've worked with on some personal goals is moving out of state. It hit me hard when I heard the news. This person has been there for me every step of the way. He was an encouraging, positive force who supported me personally....and now he'll be gone.
I guess that's life though, right? People move in and out of our lives all the time. It's just tough when it happens. How do you replace them? Well, honestly it won't be easy. But I'll try to find another coach who I can work with to accomplish my goals.
Some people have what I consider to be a magical gift to inspire and motivate others. That's the effect that Dominic had on me. He was from New York, like me. He was from the "city" and I'm from upstate. But I've known a lot of people from New York City, through college and friends I've made along the way. And Dominick was one of those stereotypical New Yorkers you see in the movies. A little brash, kind of pushy....but a great coach and motivator as well as an inspiration to me. Now, someone else is going to benefit from Dominick's amazing personality. I'm going to miss that guy.....a lot.
