I've been a Lionel Ritchie fan since he first started with the Commodores. Lionel has sold over 100 million albums in his career so he must be doing something very right. Plus, the man can still sing as he shows on his new album release called "Tuskegee." It's called "Tuskegee" because Lionel grew up in Tuskegee, Alabama and attended Tuskegee Institute where he graduated with a degree in Economics (he had to have a way to count all that money!) What makes "Tuskegee" such a great album is that Lionel has taken many of his biggest songs and turned them into duets with some of today's biggest country stars. Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Kenny Rogers, and Shania Twain all make great music with Lionel. I really loved listening to this collection of his biggest songs rearranged in a contemporary way.
My favorite song on the album is "Endless Love" with Lionel and Shania Twain. They bring a new life to this classic Ritchie ballad which he wrote for the movie of the same name and sang initially with Dianna Ross. If you ever enjoyed Lionel Ritchie's music, consider picking up a copy of this excellent album.
