I'm back at WARM today after a few days off. I had a wonderful time. I had an out of town guest and we did a couple of day trips and kicked back at some really nice restaurants right on the water. I LOVE to sit by the water when I go out to eat. It's so relaxing. And we have so many great restaurants on the water around here...there is no shortage.
Sometimes I think we think we MUST get out of town for our vacations. I used to do that...always head out of town. But we have some pretty cool places to visit around here. In fact, a lot of people come HERE for their vacations. People consider the Puget Sound region a vacation destination. We have the Sound, mountains, rivers, and even the ocean just a few hours away.
We also went to the place in Seattle that in my opinion has the best view of the Seattle skyline anywhere...Highland Park on Queen Anne (see picture). It's so easy to spend a couple of hours there checking out the view and taking pictures.
So, the next time you get some time off...think Puget Sound. You'll have a great time right in your own backyard. Just PRETEND that you flew here for your vacation and think of all the money you saved!
