As gas prices hover just over $4 a gallon, I am really dreading it every time I have to fill up my car. Thankfully, I drive a Prius and get about 48 mpg, but when I DO have to fill it up, it still hurts. I really feel sorry for people driving big SUVs and trucks. That's a big ouch at fill up time.
There is a way to minimize the pain. There is a website called gasbuddy.com which will really help you find the lowest gas prices in your area. The way it works is people log in to gasbuddy.com and report prices on gas whenever they fill up. Gas Buddy keeps these records and when you log in, you can search for the lowest prices in your area, or by specific gas brands, like Chevron for example. You can even see the stations charging the highest prices as well, so you can make sure you steer FAR away from them at fill up time.
I use gasbuddy.com every time it's time to fill up. It's really a money saver and I hope I just saved you a few dollars by recommending it!
