Karen Klein is a 68 year old mother of 4, and grandmother of 8. She works as a bus monitor in Rochester, N.Y. The other day, Karen was subjected to cruel treatment by several students on the bus she was riding. The verbal abuse she endured was hateful and says a lot about how some kids are raised in this country.

The taunting and verbal abuse would be more than enough to make most people quit, but Karen is staying on at her job. "I'm not a real vindictive person. I just know I want something to happen to make them [the students] realize what they did" said Karen.
There has been so much support for Karen, that someone even set up a fund raising site so people could donate to Karen so that she could take a vacation she very much deserves. Unbelievably, that fund raising site has raised almost $300,000 so far! Now, if she wants to, Karen can retire. I think that's pretty cool.
