I don't know about you, but I am a bit of a procrastinator. It's a quality that I don't like and one that I'm trying to improve upon. One of the things I tend to put off is taking little day trips to cool places around the Puget Sound. For example, I've only driven around the Olympic Peninsula ONCE since I moved here back in the early 90s.
There are so many great day trips to explore around the Puget Sound too. Right now, on our website you can click a link to our Pinterest page (http://warm1069.com/warm-1069-on-pinterest) and look at lots of photos and ideas about where the best day trips are around here! Pinterest is a new link on the WARM 106.9 website. It's one of the fastest growing social media websites in the world. You've got to check out.
Back to my dream day trips. I LOVE the San Juan islands. I've always wanted to go to Lime Kiln State Park (otherwise known as "whale watch park") on San Juan Island, but for some reason I've never made it up there. Well this summer, I'm going to do it! There aren't many things I'd rather see than a pod of Orcas cruising by a few feet in front of me. I know it's not a sure thing to see the Orcas, but from what I've read, outside of a whale watching cruise, this is the best place around the Puget Sound to see them fairly close.
So, if you're like me, and you've put off checking out the fabulous day trips around here, check our Pinterest page to get some ideas and go for it! Oh...and have fun too!
