The other day, inspectors allegedly found needles in turkey sandwiches on three Delta flights from Amsterdam to the U.S. This is a scary story. We trust the food we eat to not be contaminated. I just can't imagine biting into a needle while eating something.
Fortunately, investigators so far feel that this was an isolated incident probably done by an employee of the food service company and NOT a terrorist action.
It's too bad that things like this happen. Thank goodness, there was only one man who actually bit into one of the needles. It could have been worse. He's currently under treatment and testing to determine if he contracted Hepatitis or HIV from the needle.
I hope that they find whoever did this and that person is punished accordingly. This is not only a scary story...it's also pretty sad that someone would do something like this.
