It's American Idol tonight AND we are into the Top 10 finalists! I was busy last week and I didn't have a chance to watch IDOL until this past weekend. When I finally saw the show...wow, what a bunch of superb performances.
The one performance that stood out to me was by Joshua Ledet. He sang "When a Man Loves a Woman," and I think it was one of the best performances I've EVER seen on American Idol and I've seen most of them. He just put so much soul into that song. There was a huge smile across my face as I watched him sing the heck out of that song. Apparantly, Percy Sledge called to give his big approval of Joshua's performance. Elise Testone also stood out with a great rendition of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together." She also showed a lot of soul in her performance. Jimmy, the guy who gets the singers ready used an interesting phrase to describe her singing..."blue-eyed soul."
Jessica Sanchez is also one of my favorites to win. She didn't have her best performance last week, but she has an unbelievable voice and she's only 16 years old.
