So do you remember the last time it rained in Seattle? It was late July, and our rainless streak is on the verge of setting a record. Today (Wednesday) is the 45th day we've had in a row without measurable precipitation at SeaTac Airport. 45 days?? Are you kidding me? This is SEATTLE after all! This shouldn't be happening, but it is.
If we go til next Tuesday, we'll tie the record for most days without rain which was set in 1951. I'm loving it! Bring on the sunshine!
Around here, we get sick of rain because we get so many rainy days during the winter. So for most of us, this is a treat. Just don't forget to water your trees, bushes, scrubs, etc. to make sure they get enough water and survive this drought.
