The Summit at Snoqualmie is almost there. They are “snow dancing” and trying to play with ideas to open something up by the weekend. As of now they have about 9 inches on the slopes. Crystal Mt. usually has around 42 inches at the Ticket Booth (it’s at 18 inches)…Stevens and B Mt. Baker are a few inches deeper but still on the shallow side. More snow is heading to the Mountains through this weekend and next week should also bring a foot or more. it’s been pretty much a Intermediate or Advance skier scenario for the past few weeks. Too many rocks, stumps and rivers showing for a beginner skier.
We are not in a panic mode for a ski season, it’s just a week or so off is what most experts are telling me.
This is one of the first really busy weekends normally for many schools to load up the buses and head up to the slopes for Ski Clubs, Ski Schools and so on.
If you plan to go up this weekend why not send us a few pictures of your fun. Think Snow! firstname.lastname@example.org @markcradio
