Welcome to May — It’s Bicycle Month! Let’s get up and get out there!

If this weekend’s great weather doesn’t inspire you to pull your bike out of the garage, pump up the tires and ride, how about this: It’s National Bicycle Month! As they say at Seattle’s Cascade Bicycle Club:

The best way to celebrate Bike Month is simply to get on a bike: ride to work, ride to the grocery store or just ride for the sheer joy of being outside soaking up the spring weather.

The folks at Cascade have all kinds of cycle-friendly plans for the month of May:

Check it out, wear your helmet, be careful out there and enjoy the ride. You know what I always say: “Rubber side down.”
