Watch Madonna play one of her songs using only classroom instruments

I’m not sure why, but when Madonna appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night, she decided to do her iconic song “Holiday” accompanied only by the same instruments your kids play in their school classroom. In the hands of Madonna, Fallon, and The Roots, it actually sounded pretty cool.

If you don’t recognize all of the instruments, here’s the list:

Madonna – vocals, cowbell, whistle
Jimmy Fallon – wood block, bass drum, Casio keyboard
Questlove – hand clappers
Mark Kelley – kazoo, apple shaker
Tuba Gooding Jr. – kazoo, banana shaker
Kamal Gray – xylophone
James Poyser – melodica
Captain Kirk – ukulele
Frank Knuckles – bongos
Black Thought — tambourine
