What is it with tire-smoking TV ads for cars, lately?
As if it's a prerequisite for automotive worthiness and the idea being, I will need to be doing the same thing out on I-405 to prove my manliness!
In actuality, my ability to ruin a perfectly good set of tires... Blow through a gallon of gas and overheat my brake rotors. And this ultimately proves what? Oh, my car has what it takes to, uh, smoke it's tires. What? Isn't that important to you? :-)
All silliness aside, have you noticed the plethora of ads where they put the car into a sideways drift and through a haze of blue-grey smoke the car zips by in a blur?
One ad agency does this and they all follow suit. It must sell cars, right?
Wonder what it'll be next year.
