Our Great Outdoors

I have long believed and often said Washington is the most beautiful of the states, especially when the sun shines.

Needed to have some work done on the car by the local professionals, one of which forgot to plug my rear window switches back in after replacing my clutch and cables, so I dropped the car and walked the 2.5 miles home with Jannelle today.  While coming back, we spotted a large paper sack on the side of the road along with all the other trash people toss out their car windows.

For the last 1/4 mile of the walk home we picked up cans, bottles, cups and anything that wasn't too gross to handle bare-handed.  We filled that bag.

Oh, and an old long forgotten campaign sign too.

Breaks my heart to think there are people who have no regard for our home and presumably our country, by pitching their junk out the car window.  They can't tell me they care and do this.

This picture is just from one side of one rural road, .25 miles, give or take a little.  We left a lot more that was too icky to pick up.

Please, may I humbly ask that you remind your kin to save their stuff for when they get home and use the garbage can?

I love the state I've called home for the last 20 years and hope more people begin to care enough.
