Okay--I admit it, I have said before on Facebook and elsewhere how much I dislike the deer that come into my yard eating plants and flowers, not to mention the apples off a neighbor's tree.
But...having said that, I also must admit that when I saw these deer so close to my garage door, I had to take a picture and capture their beauty. Not only was the mother deer so unafraid of me and my car's running engine, but her fawn seemed equally at peace with the surroundings. They both continued with what they were doing (eating!) until I backed up the car and drove off.
It was a moment to enjoy until it was over all too soon when she and her young one bounded off to the neighbor's yard.
