The only thing I added to make it "my own" was chopped nuts for a little crunch.
I also used only 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of Splenda - instead of 3 cups white sugar the recipe calls for... and I substituted whole wheat flour for the all-purpose kind in the recipe.
The bread is grrrrreat! You could serve it with ice cream. Sweet and moist!
