Buckley (WA) resident Louis Lucchesi has just become a finalist to be named this year’s Best Dad on Wheels. Run by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, the contest looks to honor amazing father figures living with paralysis.
From now until Sunday you can visit http://www.christopherreeve.org to vote for Louis (or one of the nine other finalists).
Here's the brief on Louis that his daughter Megan submitted. What a terrific dad!

To call him "Super Dad" doesn't do justice to my dad. Not only is Louis Lucchesi the Best Dad on Wheels, but he is also a dedicated father of triplets. My dad was an amazing athlete all his life. He was recruited to play lacrosse in college but at nineteen was in an accident injuring his spinal cord. However, he refused to accept that his injury was a disability.
My entire life he has been my dad and coach. From peewee sports (even soccer) to coaching through youth, and now high school varsity lacrosse, he has always been our supporter. He brought and inspired a love of lacrosse to ours and many other lives. We all play and he coaches my brother's varsity team. This year he was nominated and voted Coach of the Year for Washington State Lacrosse. He pushes me and the lacrosse community to never give up, because all we have to do is look at his resilience and strength and see he has never given up. Dad is my rock, my safe haven. To this day I feel most at home right up on his lap. There I can cry, laugh, or just be held.
THIS SLEEP TIP IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY SLEEP NUMBER. WHILE A GLASS OF WINE MAY INITIALLY MAKE YOU SLEEPY, ALCOHOL CAN LEAD TO SLEEP INTERRUPTIONS—ESPECIALLY DURING REM SLEEP—LEAVING YOU FEELING RESTLESS AND TIRED. AVOID ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BEFORE BEDTIME FOR A MORE RESTFUL SLEEP.
