This past Saturday I had the pleasure of joining several other volunteers to help an elderly gentleman remain in his Puyallup home, through an organization called Rebuilding Together. Ever heard of them? Check this out: http://rebuildingtogether.org/
April 28th was the annual National Rebuilding Day and it was wonderful to play a small part in making one person's life a little better.
I helped with rebuilding his wheelchair ramp and several worked inside his home that needed work in the bath, kitchen and several spots on the flooring that had sustained damage from a leaky roof. This is a great organization and my buddy Don Andersen of Kent was our site manager and coordinated virtually everything with help from his wife Joan. Don asked members of his church to kick in for materials to help in the rebuilding process! They came through, too. Here's a group shot, complete with my finger over the lens.
