THANKFULLY, More And More Stores Will NOT Be Open On Thanksgiving Day!

The holiday shopping season officially gets underway the day after Thanksgiving. But in the past few years, the hours stores open their doors continues to creep closer to Thanksgiving dinner.

Earlier in October, outdoor retailer, REI, made headlines across the world for taking a stand and deciding to close its doors on Black Friday. According to the website,, other retailers are joining in and are promising to not do business on Turkey day.

Here are a growing list of retailers that will be closed for Thanksgiving:

AT&T (customer service will remain open; retail stores will close)
