Super Bowl Championship Ring for the 12’s! (fundraiser)

Our Seattle Seahawks received their Super Bowl XLVIII championship rings in Seattle last month.

Several months before that, CJ Johnson –  who just knew the Seahawks would win the Super Bowl – thought the ’12th Man’ should get a ring too. So he spent months designing one and working with manufacturers to make a prototype. In his own words, he didn’t want it to be “a cheap Super Bowl souvenir”. I talked to CJ Johnson about the ring this morning:

With a prototype done, he needs your help – via a Kickstarter campaign – to get the project off the ground, and boy, is the 12th Man responding! Johnson’s goal was to raise $7,000 – but fans have donated more than $110,000!

The Kickstarter campaign goes until 2:30pm TODAY, July 2nd, and a donation of at least $179.00 will get you one of those new 12th Man rings! See info on the Kickstarter campaign HERE.

Johnson says he’s having 600 rings made in the first round, but expects to make many more than that, because as we all know, there are a LOT more than 600 fans who make up the ’12th Man’!
