"I'm not ready to give up on it just yet," Tom Douglas tell WARM. I had the awesome opportunity to chat with Executive Chef Tom Douglas briefly on the air today. He's calling on friends, local businesses, non-profit organization, city council...you name it, one GIANT effort to save our fireworks. He also told KING 5 that "I think sometimes we forget the value of coming together as a community and what the Fourth of July actually means that way." We know Tom for his RUB with LOVE (now heavily stocked on shelves for the upcoming summer bbq's), his amazing restaurants (Dahlia Lounge, Serious Pie, Palace Kitchen just to name a few), he's an author, radio host and TV personality. And, just a really cool guy who want's to save a favorite Seattle Community Event/4th of July celebration. Cool. He also gives back to the community, a ton. He's on the board for FOOD LIFELINE, currently trying to raise $20 million so we can more efficiently feed hungry people in Western Washington. Thanks Tom, for all you do:) - Shellie Hart
