Seattle Fire Dept History needs Help!

Last year we had one of the first motorized Fire Trucks of Seattle (100 years old) as part of our Seafair Torchlight Parade “Teddy Bear Patrol” showcase.  This is one of many trucks that is owned by retired Seattle Fireman, Galen Thomaire. These trucks are still operational, used for Fire Station dedications, funerals and birthday-retirement parties and often seen in various parades. His collection and the Seattle Fire Dept. Museum he created is now facing a shutdown as community donations have gone away and many not even knowing this Seattle History exists.  Maybe you know someone who has an idea for funding? SFD is not allowed to support this effort with taxpayers funds. SFD has give Galen the title of Seattle Fire Dept. Historian.   Click on link for story……
