Can we really go less than an hour of summer??? One year ago today we were at 78 minutes of above 80 degree weather. Today the number of minutes Seattle has been over 80 so far? 50 minutes. What???
With the rest of the country broiling I can somewhat excuse it but for petes sake! One of the reasons we have been experiencing the cooler weather is because the rest of the country has that high pressure system hovering and not budging over them and behind that high pressure system is our pesky low pressure system.
According to the thermometer at the University Atmospheric Sciences Department we have hit 80 degrees only three times. 18 minutes on July 8, 8 minutes on July 11 and 24 on July 12.
So what's a Seattleite to do...
