Tired of the Orange?

Ok so Galaxy Orange may have been cool in 1962, but the retro look the Space Needle is sporting in celebration of the 50 year anniversary of the Seattle World's Fair is going to give way to a new design and it wants the public's help in designing the 605-foot tower's roof's next paint job, which will be on display from Oct. 21 through April 21.

The roof of Seattle's iconic Space Needle was repainted Tuesday with the message "top this" to promote the new contest in honor of the 50th anniversary of the 1962 World's Fair, which was held in Seattle and for which the Space Needle was built.

You can submit your design here... http://www.spaceneedle.com/topthis.html

From spaceneedle.com

"All entries will be screened by a panel of local judges. The 5 top designs and/or color options will be featured on www.spaceneedle.com/top.html where people can vote for their favorite. The top vote-getter on October 21, 2012 will gain all the recognition (and glory) of having their design atop the Space Needle for the next 6 months."

I have a few fun ideas I may submit. Let us know if you decide to play!  Sean
