With summer upon us, although at the moment it doesn't really feel like summer, is usually about the time I start thinking about fun, close activities the Michaels family can indulge in. Sure big trips are planned pretty far in advance, but with not too much effort a family can really have a weekend adventure and not spend that much money.
A few of my fav's that the kiddos love are taking ferry rides to distant beaches for picnics and fun. Bainbridge is a great ride and destination. We also like Whidbey Island. Both great for day trips or if you like to camp, they are easy to get to and tons of fun. Not the outdoorsy type? Plenty of things to do. When was the last time you went to the Pike Place Market or checked out the trains at the Snoqualmie Railroad Museum?
