It's still hard to believe that phonebook companies are still in existence yet they keep showing up on my driveway. I absolutely have no use for them. Apparently phone book companies do not either. Just a few weeks ago I stopped a guy at the bottom of my driveway who was ready to toss one of those yellow bad boys my way. I told him that I don't use them anymore and it will just go into the recycling bin. He asked me where my recycling bin was. I told him and he went and tossed it in himself! What a waste.
I guess there's no stopping them... or maybe there is!
An agreement approved Monday by state and industry representatives means you can opt out of receiving the Yellow Pages.
As part of the agreement, the state's largest directory publishers -- Berry, Dex, SuperMedia and YellowBook -- will direct consumers to a website where they can opt out of receiving the yellow pages. The free service is offered through www.YellowPagesOptOut.com.
Stop it before it starts.
