Safety Tips: Living With Bears In Western Washington As They Awaken From Hibernation.

We have a pretty good amount of bears (sightings) every year here in the lowlands of Western Washington, here’s what you need to know about keeping you and your family safe.

I’ve hiked ALL OVER the Cascades, Olympics, Rockies and the Sierra Nevada in extremely high elevations and yet…the only time I’ve encountered a bear, was in my neighbors back yard in Issaquah by Cougar Mountain! As the bears awaken from months of hibernation, they’re hungry and there are some things we can do to make sure we ALL stay safe.
