I've always loved circus acrobatics, but I'm not a huge fan of animals as circus performers after seeing one injured as a child.
Years ago, I was given a ticket to Cirque Du Soleil for my birthday. I realized that the show encompassed all I loved about the big tent! Between gasping in fear that someone would land on a net, and the incredible costumes, and gorgeous music, I was in HEAVEN!
So I just had the amazing experience of the newest show to grace Seattle - Amaluna. It is stunning! The live music and beautiful voices, the perfect execution, and interaction with the audience is just a blast.
Bonus - I got to take my Dad, who originally gifted me the love of Cirque ~ Below are some the pictures I captured on the outside of the event.
We had a wonderful time, and guess what I did the next day? Scheduled my first trapeze lesson at a school here in the Puget Sound. :)
Wish me luck, I will post some fun and possibly hilarious film of my experience on the high flying apparatus.
And if you get a chance, see this show with a loved one.
Have a great weekend,
Maya

Some Yummy treats at the show! Edible flowers and salmon.

Giant illumination on the inside of the tent.

The big top!

My wonderful dad & I, ready for the show.
