No, despite his Wookie exterior, he's all canine - how do I tame the coat?

This is my best dog friend Teague. He is ready to shed his coat for summer sleekness, and I'm tempted to do it myself....but that's A LOT of hair!

Do you groom your pets?

Any advice?

I'm so afraid I'll nick his skin!

 

 

I also recently started making his dog treats as I was worried about the ingredients of treats on the market. Here's my favorite (and Teague's favorite) recipe:

Teague's Peanutty Chicken cookies

•  1 cup flour
•  1 cup chicken broth
•  3/4 cup oatmeal
•  1/4 cornstarch
•  1/4 cup oil
•  1 tablespoon of baking powder
•  2 tablespoons of peanut butter

Directions

Mix the ingredients together and cook for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

I don't use the cute bone shaped cookie cutter, as I'm pretty sure he doesn't even have a millisecond to see the shape before he grabs it :)

 

Although I did make them in heart shapes for Valentine's day ~
