Seattle Center : 2012 Irish Festival
12,000 people are expected to attend this year’s Irish Festival at the Seattle Center. Kids can dance to traditional tunes while watching energetic Irish step dancers and exploring a kid’s activity center. Even better, wee lassies and lads can participate in good-natured contests for the ‘Most Irish-Looking Face’ and ‘'Smilingest Irish Eyes’.

Saturday nights at Gage Teen Art Studios in Rainier Valley are free, and all levels are welcome. March features Acrylic Still-Life Techniques, with Alisha Dall’Osto Get introduced to painting and learn how to choose which brush for each technique, how to vary your brush strokes, and how to blend, glaze and mix color to create a variety of effects. Draw and paint from different still-life setups focusing on reflective metal surfaces, fabric, liquid, light and shadow. Space is limited, so be sure to arrive on time. All materials & refreshments provided.
