in CASE you missed it...Good News Story of the Day:
Ten-year-old Travis Selinka from Carlsbad, California, is one inspiring little dude. He's battling brain cancer and underwent radiation for seven weeks. He lost all his hair and was anxious about returning to school bald. He never wanted to take off his baseball hat.
His friends rallied around him and decided to band together, head to the local barber shop and shave their heads in solidarity giving us 15 more inspiring little dudes who remind us the true meaning of life.
The group of 10- and 11-year-old El Camino Creek classmates of Travis didn't want their buddy to feel different. They wanted to support him because they realize he's been through a lot -- one of the kids even through they thought doing it was "cool" and "very nice." He's so right, and we can add awesome and inspiring to the list of words to describe what they did.
Travis' mom said, "Fifteen boys went in (to that barber shop) and 15 men walked out."
What a cool bunch of kids. We need stories like this. Real life stories of brave kids who are supported by friends
