Today a grand re-opening ceremony will be held for the main waiting room of Seattle's King Street Station at 11am, which has been restored to its former glory as part of a multimillion-dollar project to renovate the entire building. The landmark structure was purchased from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company in 2008 by the City of Seattle and is currently served by Amtrak trains and Sounder trains. This has been our train station since 1906. Original train diretors and investors thought that good looking train stations were a waste of money. Local engineers and a local judge changed that thought and finallky convinced those in power to make is sizzle and shine and a look of art. Its back! KIng St. Station is right next to Century Link Field (Northeast corner)
This is not "Grand Central", This is KING ST STATION.
