Elf On A Shelf? This is a fun tradition (game of hiding them around the house each day and first one to find them wins) at our house and requires a house still loaded with a tree and decorations. I have made it known how we go over board at our house each year. When asked about basics of how long you should have everything up and decorated? Just think of the song, The 12 Days Of Christmas. The Twelve Days of Christmas are the festive days beginning Christmas Day (25 December). This period is also known as Christmastide and Twelvetide. The Twelfth Night of Christmas is always on the evening of 5 January, but the Twelfth Day can either precede or follow the Twelfth Night according to which Christian tradition is followed. Twelfth Night is followed by the Feast of the Epiphany on 6 January. In some traditions, the first day of Epiphany (6 January) and the twelfth day of Christmas overlap. To make it simple? This Sunday, Jan 6th, would be the day of bringing down the tree. The weeks of hype and prep and events and still there are some that clean house on Dec 26th? I would be so sad and depressed. We also take one tree down a day here and there. When slow going like this, that sad downer feeling isn't so bad. firstname.lastname@example.org
The Tree? The Decorations? Not so fast! Lets enjoy!
