Subway has released a statement declaring that their footlong subs are only 11 inches long, because "footlong" isn't supposed to be a measurement of length. Which sounds ridiculous, but here are 10 OTHER things that don't seem to be what they are.
#1.) If you buy a TWO-BY-FOUR at the lumber store, it's not really two inches by four inches . . . it's one-and-a-half inches by three-and-a-half inches.
#2.) Those big mouth watering burgers you see on TV. They are never that big and tall when you buy one.
#3.) 90% of Ice Cream commercials on television? Thats actually a scoop of Mashed Potatoes as real ice cream would melt in the lighting needed for the shot.
#4.) Immitation crab meat you buy in the store is actually pieces of bottom fish (Sole, Cod, etc)
#5.) A two man camping tent? it's really a good single person tent.
#6.) A Truck Camper like mine here in picture says sleeps 5 Adults (3 really at 6 feet tall and 5 if you are 5'4" Tall and no more than 27 inches wide). I love my camper by the way and knew this when I bought it.
#7) How many times we see the late night AS SEEN ON TV commercials and make a purchase? Did it really perform and deliver the results like on television? All is saved with the disclaimer (results may vary)
#8) Many years ago how many radio stations that said they are giving away a million dollars? Did you ever hear of a winner?
#9) The FMS Radio set. Transmit 25 miles between the two units? I did get 1 mile.
#10) A can of Pork and Beans, all those beans and one little chunk of pork?
