It was the best! A Vegas style showroom in Seattle, Dinners, Lunch. As a performer if you did the Paramount or Seattle Center Coliseum you also at one time would start or end at Parkers. HEART, The Ventures, Rick Nelson, The Raiders, RAIN-Beatles Tribute, I could go on and on...., Now ask Mom and Dad of the memory of theirs. It opened in 1930 thanks to Dick Parker. I wish we had a chance for one last bash. Merillee Rush in picture was one of many that saw this as a step to great things for so many! Here is video of demolition. The future for this lot? TerriMartin - When my husband and I were dating, 38 years ago, every night for one week we went to Parkers and danced all night to Cheesburger Delux. They were a 50/60's group. We danced so much that our legs and feet hurt so bad by the end of the week! Good *****!
TerriMartin - In 1975 my husband, his brother, brother's girlfriend and I all went to Parker's for a good time. Well, this was when "streaking" was popular and the band said that if anyone would strek across the stage they would get a case of beer. A few minutes later we wondered where Dave was, and sure enough there he went streaking across the stage with just his socks on! It must have been worth it, because we got our case of beer! We still laugh to this day. Oh, Dave never did mary that girlfriend, I wonder why?!
TerriMartin - So many good memories about Parkers. Before it was a night club, I can remember going there to roller skate and it was also a teen dance center.
